The Coahoma County Red Panthers basketball team scored 47 points and held the host Southaven Chargers to 41 in the Red Panthers non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Red Panthers now sport a 9-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Douglass for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 12.

With the defeat, Southaven falls to 8-3 on the campaign. The Chargers travel to Lewisburg (Olive Branch, MS) to play the Patriots in a 7A Region 1 challenge on Tuesday, December 12. The Patriots come into the challenge with a record of 6-4.
