Oklahoma High School Basketball - Elgin edges Cushing
December 9, 2023: Elgin, OK 73538 The Elgin Owls (Elgin, OK) basketball nipped the visiting Cushing Tigers (Cushing, OK), 50-43 in Saturday's non-league contest.
The Owls now sport a 3-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Carl Albert for a 5A District 1 contest on Tuesday, December 12. Elgin will battle a Titans team coming off a 68-54 league loss to Crossings Christian (Oklahoma City, OK). The Titans record now stands at 1-1.
The Tigers (3-2) will now prepare for their contest against Sperry (Sperry, OK). The Pirates come into the Tulsa Seven contest with a 0-2 record. In their last contest, Sperry was nudged by Berryhill (Tulsa, OK), 59-48, in a league contest.
