The McMullen County Cowboys basketball team scored 37 points and restricted the visiting Freer Buckaroos to 20 in the Cowboys non-league victory on Saturday.

The Cowboys now sport a 9-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Woodsboro for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 12. McMullen County will battle a Eagles team coming off a 81-48 non-league loss to Cuero (Cuero, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 4-7.

The Buckaroos (2-8) will now prepare for their contest against Banquete (Banquete, TX). The Bulldogs come into the non-league contest with a 1-12 record. In their last contest, Banquete was defeated by Roma (Roma, TX), 41-37, in a non-league contest.
