Pinkston Vikings (Dallas, TX) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Grand Prairie Gophers (Grand Prairie, TX), 52-49 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Pinkston upgrades its record to 6-9 on the campaign. The Vikings host Newman International Academy (Cedar Hill, TX) to play the Warriors in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 12. The Warriors come into the bout with a record of 2-4. Newman International Academy lost 56-41 in their recent non-league bout against Chisholm Trail Academy (Keene, TX)

Next up, the Gophers play the Cedar Hill Longhorns (Cedar Hill, TX) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 15. Grand Prairie will attempt to upgrade on its 6-8 season record. The Longhorns come into the bout with a 11-4 record after their 73-54 non-league win over Dunbar (Fort Worth, TX).
