December 9, 2023: Ontario, OR 97914 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Grant Union Prospectors (John Day, OR) and the host Ontario Tigers (Ontario, OR), saw Grant Union's basketball squad wallop Ontario by a tally of 68-41.
With the victory, Grant Union improves its record to 5-2 on the campaign. The Prospectors host Burns (Burns, OR) to confront the Hilanders in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, December 12. The Hilanders come into the challenge with a record of 3-0. Burns won 61-53 in their recent non-league challenge against La Pine (La Pine, OR)
Next up, the Tigers confront the Weiser Wolverines (Weiser, ID) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, December 13. Ontario will attempt to improve on its 2-2 season record. The Wolverines come into the challenge with a 1-0 record after their 70-40 non-league win over Nyssa (Nyssa, OR).
