Georgia High School Basketball - Lanier tops Sequoyah
December 9, 2023: Sugar Hill, GA 30518 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Lanier Longhorns (Sugar Hill, GA) and the visiting Sequoyah Chiefs (Canton, GA), saw Lanier's basketball squad knock off Sequoyah by a count of 77-59.
With the victory, Lanier upgrades its record to 3-4 on the campaign. The Longhorns travel to James F. Byrnes (Duncan, SC) to play the Rebels in a non-league challenge on Saturday, December 16. The Rebels come into the challenge with a record of 4-3.
Next up, the Chiefs play the Woodstock Wolverines (Woodstock, GA) in a AAAAAA Region 6 challenge, on Tuesday, December 12. Sequoyah will attempt to upgrade on its 5-3 season record. The Wolverines come into the challenge with a 7-3 record after their 55-45 non-league loss to Marietta (Marietta, GA).
