Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Pittston nips West Scranton
December 9, 2023: Pittston, PA 18640 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Pittston Patriots (Pittston, PA) and the visiting West Scranton Invaders (Scranton, PA), saw Pittston's basketball squad hold off West Scranton by a count of 52-49.
With the victory, Pittston upgrades its record to 1-1 on the campaign. The Patriots host Holy Cross (Dunmore, PA) to play the Crusaders in a non-league challenge on Monday, December 11. The Crusaders come into the challenge with a record of 1-1. Holy Cross won 80-47 in their recent non-league challenge against Neumann Regional Academy (Williamsport, PA)
Next up, the Invaders play the Greater Nanticoke Area Trojans (Nanticoke, PA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, December 19. West Scranton will attempt to upgrade on its 2-3 season record.
