Texas High School Basketball - Bangs holds off Cooper
December 9, 2023: Bangs, TX 76823 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Bangs Dragons (Bangs, TX) and the visiting Cooper Cougars (Abilene, TX), saw Bangs's basketball squad hold off Cooper by a tally of 39-33.
With the victory, Bangs improves its record to 8-6 on the campaign. The Dragons host Hamilton (Hamilton, TX) to confront the Bulldogs in a non-league challenge on Friday, December 15. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a record of 8-5.
Next up, the Cougars confront the Lubbock-Cooper Pirates (Lubbock, TX) in a 5A Region I District 4 challenge, on Tuesday, December 12. Cooper will attempt to improve on its 7-9 season record. The Pirates come into the challenge with a 9-6 record after their 56-46 non-league win over Lipan (Lipan, TX).
