Kentucky High School Basketball - Montgomery County winner over Cooper
December 9, 2023: Mt. Sterling, KY 40353 The Montgomery County Indians (Mt. Sterling, KY) basketball felled the visiting Cooper Jaguars (Union, KY), 64-55 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Indians (2-2) will now prepare for their test against Bourbon County (Paris, KY). The Colonels go into the District 40 test with a 0-6 record. In their last test, Bourbon County was beaten by Woodford County (Versailles, KY), 49-39, in a non-league test.
The Jaguars now own a 3-2 record. They play next when they host Purcell Marian for a non-league test on Tuesday, December 12. Cooper will encounter a Cavaliers squad coming off a 64-54 non-league win over Africentric Early College (Columbus, OH). The Cavaliers record now stands at 5-1.
