Illinois High School Basketball - Genoa-Kingston trounces Hiawatha
December 9, 2023: Genoa, IL 60135 The Genoa-Kingston Cogs (Genoa, IL) basketball crushed the visiting Hiawatha Hawks (Kirkland, IL), 74-27 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Cogs (5-6) will now prepare for their test against Woodstock North (Woodstock, IL). The Thunder go into the non-league test with a 3-6 record. In their last test, Woodstock North was trounced by Antioch (Antioch, IL), 62-61, in a non-league test.
The Hawks now own a 6-6 record. They play next when they travel to Amboy for a non-league test on Wednesday, December 13. Hiawatha will encounter a Clippers squad coming off a 30-25 league loss to Ashton-Franklin Center (Ashton, IL). The Clippers record now stands at 6-4.
