The Pittsburg Pirates basketball team scored 44 points and held the visiting Harleton Wildcats to 23 in the Pirates non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Pirates now sport a 12-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Rivercrest for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 12. Pittsburg will meet a Rebels team coming off a 51-31 non-league win over Miller Grove (Cumby, TX). The Rebels record now stands at 6-12.

The Wildcats (1-4) will now prepare for their contest against Union Grove (Gladewater, TX). The Lions enter the 2A Region III District 21 contest with a 12-3 record. In their last contest, Union Grove triumphed over St. Mary's (Longview, TX), 61-20, in a non-league contest.
