The James Monroe Mavericks (Lindside, WV) basketball felled the host Narrows Green Waves (Narrows, VA), 65-56 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Mavericks (2-2) will now prepare for their test against Greenbrier East (Lewisburg, WV). The Spartans go into the non-league test with a 1-1 record. In their last test, Greenbrier East was beaten by George Washington (Charleston, WV), 66-46, in a non-league test.

The Green Waves now own a 0-2 record. They play next when they host Parry McCluer for a Pioneer test on Wednesday, December 13. Narrows will encounter a Fighting Blues squad coming off a 38-20 non-league loss to Rappahannock County (Washington, VA). The Fighting Blues record now stands at 2-1.
