December 9, 2024: Ames, IA 50010 The Dallas Center-Grimes Mustangs basketball team scored 63 points and limited the host Ames Little Cyclones to 50 in the Mustangs non-league triumph on Monday.
The Mustangs now possess a 1-2 record. They play next when they host Newton for a Little Hawkeye game on Friday, December 13. Dallas Center-Grimes will play a Cardinals team coming off a 62-56 league win over Indianola (Indianola, IA). The Cardinals record now stands at 3-0.
With the loss, Ames falls to 2-1 on the campaign. The Little cyclones travel to Roosevelt (Des Moines, IA) to play the Roughriders in a non-league game on Tuesday, December 10. The Roughriders go into the game with a record of 2-1. Roosevelt lost 83-60 in their recent non-league game against Kennedy (Cedar Rapids, IA)
