Maryland High School Basketball - North County can't hold off Long Reach
December 9, 2024: Columbia, MD 21045 Long Reach Lightning (Columbia, MD) supporters left the game happy Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the visiting North County Knights (Glen Burnie, MD), 50-49 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Long Reach advances its record to 1-0 on the year. The Lightning travel to Hammond (Columbia, MD) to face the Golden Bears in a match on Wednesday, December 18. The Golden Bears enter the match with a record of 0-2.
The Knights now own a 1-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Northeast for a non-league match on Thursday, December 12.
