In Tuesday's league contest, the host Columbiana Clippers basketball team scored a close 57-56 win over the United Golden Eagles.

The Clippers (3-0) will now prepare for their contest against Leetonia (Leetonia, OH). The Bears come into the Eastern Ohio contest with a 1-3 record. In their last contest, Leetonia was nudged by Valley Christian (Youngstown, OH), 56-20, in a league match.

The Golden Eagles now own a 1-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host East Palestine for a Eastern Ohio match on Friday, December 12. United will face a Bulldogs squad coming off a 55-26 league loss to Wellsville (Wellsville, OH). The Bulldogs record now stands at 0-1.
