Illinois High School Basketball - Hall thwarts Putnam County
December 9, 2025: Spring Valley, IL 61362 The crowd at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Hall Red Devils (Spring Valley, IL) and the visiting Putnam County Panthers (Granville, IL), observed Hall's basketball team knock off Putnam County by a score of 40-23.
The Red Devils (5-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Fieldcrest (Minonk, IL). The Knights enter the non-league battle with a 4-0 record. In their last battle, Fieldcrest knocked off Kewanee (Kewanee, IL), 67-54, in a non-league battle.
The Panthers now own a 1-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Galva for a non-league battle on Thursday, December 11. Putnam County will meet a Wildcats squad coming off a 72-69 non-league loss to Kewanee (Kewanee, IL). The Wildcats record now stands at 4-3.
