Mountain Ridge Mountain Lions (Glendale, AZ) backers went home thrilled Tuesday as they saw their basketball team thwart the visiting Maryvale Panthers (Phoenix, AZ), 66-53 in a non-league contest.

The Mountain Lions (2-2) will now prepare for their contest against Corona del Sol (Tempe, AZ). The Aztecs go into the non-league contest with a 0-1 record. In their last outing, Corona del Sol was dropped by Highland (Gilbert, AZ), 76-47, in a non-league outing.
