December 1, 2021: Park Ridge, IL 60068 In Wednesday's non-league outing, the Wheeling Wildcats (Wheeling, IL) basketball squad edged the host Maine East Blue Demons (Park Ridge, IL), by a margin of 45-43.
The Wildcats (3-2) will now prepare for their outing against Prospect (Mt. Prospect, IL). The Knights go into the Mid-Suburban - East outing with a 2-3 record. In their last outing, Prospect held off Lake Zurich (Lake Zurich, IL), 49-46, in a non-league outing.
The Blue Demons now own a 1-4 record. They play next when they travel to Niles North for a Central Suburban - North outing on Friday, December 3. Maine East will clash with a Vikings squad coming off a 62-50 non-league loss to DePaul College Prep (Chicago, IL). The Vikings record now stands at 2-1.
