The Newton Falls Tigers basketball team scored 40 points and held the visiting Mineral Ridge Rams to 16 in the Tigers non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Tigers now sport a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Heartland Christian for a non-league contest on Thursday, December 2. Newton Falls will meet a Lions team coming off a 53-20 non-league loss to Jackson-Milton (North Jackson, OH). The Lions record now stands at 0-3.

The Rams (0-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Memorial (Campbell, OH). The Red Devils come into the non-league challenge with a 1-2 record. In their last challenge, Memorial was crushed by Chaney (Youngstown, OH), 49-47, in a non-league challenge.
