The Hornets now sport a 5-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Henderson for a non-league contest on Friday, December 2. Athens will battle a Lions team coming off a 66-47 non-league loss to Pittsburg (Pittsburg, TX). The Lions record now stands at 0-6.
The Pirates (4-1) will now prepare for their contest against Kilgore (Kilgore, TX). The Bulldogs enter the non-league contest with a 0-4 record. In their last contest, Kilgore was routed by Jefferson (Jefferson, TX), 50-39, in a non-league contest.
