Alden Bulldogs (Alden, NY) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Akron Tigers (Akron, NY), 35-30 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Alden upgrades its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Royalton-Hartland (Middleport, NY) to play the Rams in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 6.
