December 1, 2022: Algona, IA 50511 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Bishop Garrigan Golden Bears (Algona, IA) and the visiting Newman Catholic Knights (Mason City, IA), saw Bishop Garrigan's basketball squad wallop Newman Catholic by a tally of 85-18.
With the victory, Bishop Garrigan improves its record to 2-1 on the campaign. The Golden Bears host Lake Mills (Lake Mills, IA) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, December 6. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a record of 0-2. Lake Mills lost 54-46 in their recent league challenge against Belmond-Klemme (Belmond, IA)
Next up, the Knights play the North Butler Bearcats (Greene, IA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 2. Newman Catholic will attempt to improve on its 1-1 season record.
