Sundown Roughnecks (Sundown, TX) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Portales Rams (Portales, NM), 46-40 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Sundown upgrades its record to 10-1 on the campaign. The Roughnecks travel to Andrews (Andrews, TX) to confront the Mustangs in a non-league challenge on Friday, December 2. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a record of 2-6. Andrews won 33-32 in their recent non-league challenge against Denver City (Denver City, TX)

Next up, the Rams confront the Kermit Yellow Jackets (Kermit, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 2. Portales will attempt to improve on its 0-1 season record.
