Texas High School Basketball - Anderson-Shiro holds off Lexington
December 1, 2023: Lexington, TX 78947 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Anderson-Shiro Fighting Owls (Anderson, TX) and the host Lexington Eagles (Lexington, TX), saw Anderson-Shiro's basketball squad hold off Lexington by a tally of 34-29.
With the victory, Anderson-Shiro improves its record to 4-2 on the campaign. The Fighting Owls travel to Sealy (Sealy, TX) to confront the Tigers in a non-league challenge on Saturday, December 2. The Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 3-2. Sealy won 47-36 in their recent non-league challenge against Columbus (Columbus, TX)
Next up, the Eagles confront the Rosebud-Lott Cougars (Rosebud, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, December 5. Lexington will attempt to improve on its 2-1 season record. The Cougars come into the challenge with a 2-4 record after their 70-31 non-league loss to Thrall (Thrall, TX).
