In Friday's non-league outing, the Vela Sabercats (Edinburg, TX) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Bishop Badgers (Bishop, TX), by a margin of 74-35.

The Sabercats (5-3) will now prepare for their outing against Nixon (Laredo, TX). The Mustangs go into the non-league outing with a 8-2 record. In their last outing, Nixon smashed Bishop (Bishop, TX), 97-52, in a non-league outing.
