December 1, 2023: Abilene, TX 79605 The Cooper Cougars (Abilene, TX) basketball knocked off the visiting Cleburne Yellowjackets (Cleburne, TX), 54-34 in Friday's non-league test.
The Cougars (3-5) will now prepare for their test against Coronado (El Paso, TX). The Thunderbirds go into the non-league test with a 3-5 record. In their last test, Coronado went down by Pebble Hills (El Paso, TX), 40-35, in a league test.
The Yellowjackets now own a 1-7 record. They play next when they travel to Austin for a non-league test on Saturday, December 2. Cleburne will encounter a Panthers squad coming off a 55-24 non-league loss to Midland Legacy (Midland, TX). The Panthers record now stands at 2-8.
