Iowa High School Basketball - Iowa City West nips Davenport West
December 1, 2023: Iowa City, IA 52246 Iowa City West Trojans (Iowa City, IA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Davenport West Falcons (Davenport, IA), 68-61 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Iowa City West upgrades its record to 2-0 on the campaign. The Trojans host Liberty (North Liberty, IA) to play the Lightning in a non-league bout on Friday, December 8. The Lightning come into the bout with a record of 1-0.
Next up, the Falcons play the Clinton River Kings (Clinton, IA) in a Mississippi bout, on Tuesday, December 5. Davenport West will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The River Kings come into the bout with a 0-2 record after their 70-45 non-league loss to Hempstead (Dubuque, IA).
