Illinois High School Basketball - Fenwick fells Oak Park-River Forest
December 1, 2023: Oak Park, IL 60302 Fenwick Friars (Oak Park, IL) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Oak Park-River Forest Huskies (Oak Park, IL), 56-47 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Fenwick upgrades its record to 4-2 on the season. The Friars travel to Marmion (Aurora, IL) to play the Cadets in a Chicago Catholic - White bout on Tuesday, December 5. The Cadets go into the bout with a record of 3-3. Marmion lost 47-44 in their recent league bout against IC Catholic Prep (Elmhurst, IL)
Next up, the Huskies play the Lyons Lions (LaGrange, IL) in a West Suburban - Silver bout, on Wednesday, December 6. Oak Park-River Forest will attempt to upgrade on its 3-2 season record. The Lions go into the bout with a 1-3 record after their 56-49 non-league loss to Lincoln Park (Chicago, IL).
