Illinois High School Basketball - St. Laurence can't hold off Marist
December 1, 2023: Burbank, IL 60459 The Marist RedHawks basketball team scored 49 points and held the host St. Laurence Vikings to 44 in the RedHawks non-league triumph on Friday.
The RedHawks now sport a 6-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Saint Viator for a East Suburban Catholic contest on Tuesday, December 5. Marist will battle a Lions team coming off a 46-33 league win over Nazareth Academy (LaGrange Park, IL). The Lions record now stands at 5-1.
The Vikings (2-4) will now prepare for their contest against Leo (Chicago, IL). The Lions enter the non-league contest with a 1-2 record. In their last contest, Leo was nudged by De La Salle (Chicago, IL), 71-40, in a league contest.
