Texas High School Basketball - Maypearl nips Western Hills
December 1, 2023: Maypearl, TX 76064 Maypearl Panthers (Maypearl, TX) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Western Hills Cougars (Fort Worth, TX), 62-58 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Maypearl upgrades its record to 3-3 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Life Oak Cliff (Dallas, TX) to play the Lions in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 2. The Lions come into the bout with a record of 10-3. Life Oak Cliff won 60-56 in their recent non-league bout against Venus (Venus, TX)
Next up, the Cougars play the Alvarado Indians (Alvarado, TX) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 5. Western Hills will attempt to upgrade on its 4-5 season record. The Indians come into the bout with a 7-0 record after their 69-53 non-league win over Grandview (Grandview, TX).
