Texas High School Basketball - New Caney overwhelmed by Barbers Hill
December 1, 2023: Mt. Belvieu, TX 77580 The Barbers Hill Eagles basketball team scored 60 points and restricted the visiting New Caney Eagles to 35 in the Eagles non-league victory on Friday.
The Eagles now sport a 7-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Caney Creek for a non-league contest on Friday, December 1. Barbers Hill will battle a Panthers team coming off a 46-34 league loss to Conroe (Conroe, TX). The Panthers record now stands at 1-8.
The Eagles (5-9) will now prepare for their contest against The Woodlands (The Woodlands, TX). The Highlanders come into the 6A Region II District 13 contest with a 6-7 record. In their last contest, The Woodlands was routed by Spring (Spring, TX), 38-37, in a non-league contest.
