December 1, 2023: Concord, NC 28027 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Jackson Day Mariners (Charlotte, NC) and the host Covenant Classical Warriors (Concord, NC), saw Jackson Day's basketball squad overcome Covenant Classical by a tally of 34-21.
With the victory, Jackson Day improves its record to 6-1 on the campaign. The Mariners host Bradford Prep (Charlotte, NC) to confront the Bears in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, December 5. The Bears come into the challenge with a record of 3-1. Bradford Prep lost 35-29 in their recent non-league challenge against Highland Tech (Gastonia, NC)
Next up, the Warriors confront the Carolina Christian Lions (Locust, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, December 5. Covenant Classical will attempt to improve on its 3-2 season record. The Lions come into the challenge with a 1-5 record after their 47-13 non-league loss to North Hills Christian (Salisbury, NC).
