Texas High School Basketball - Lake Belton nips Midway
December 1, 2023: Waco, TX 76712 Lake Belton Broncos (Temple, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Midway Panthers (Waco, TX), 39-35 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Lake Belton upgrades its record to 6-5 on the season. The Broncos travel to Taylor (Taylor, TX) to play the Ducks in a non-league bout on Friday, December 8. The Ducks go into the bout with a record of 5-5. Taylor won 46-33 in their recent non-league bout against Weiss (Pflugerville, TX)
Next up, the Panthers play the Connally Cadets (Waco, TX) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 5. Midway will attempt to upgrade on its 7-8 season record. The Cadets go into the challenge with a 8-5 record after their 52-39 non-league win over Plainview (Plainview, TX).
