Texas High School Basketball - Lake Worth knocked off by Venus
December 1, 2023: Venus, TX 76084 The Venus Bulldogs basketball team scored 37 points and held the visiting Lake Worth Bullfrogs to 27 in the Bulldogs non-league triumph on Friday.
The Bulldogs now sport a 8-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Peaster for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 5. Venus will battle a Greyhounds team coming off a 43-25 non-league win over Wichita Falls (Wichita Falls, TX). The Greyhounds record now stands at 3-7.
The Bullfrogs (10-5) will now prepare for their contest against Palmer (Palmer, TX). The Bulldogs enter the non-league contest with a 2-5 record. In their last contest, Palmer was defeated by Maypearl (Maypearl, TX), 61-17, in a non-league contest.
