The North Stanly Comets (New London, NC) basketball knocked off the host Uwharrie Charter Eagles (Asheboro, NC), 53-33 in Friday's non-league test.

The Comets (7-0) will now prepare for their test against Anson (Wadesboro, NC). The Bearcats go into the non-league test with a 0-4 record. In their last test, Anson went down by Chesterfield (Chesterfield, SC), 53-17, in a non-league test.

The Eagles now own a 5-3 record. They play next when they travel to Chatham Charter for a non-league test on Tuesday, December 5. Uwharrie Charter will encounter a Knights squad coming off a 52-32 non-league win over Eastern Randolph (Ramseur, NC). The Knights record now stands at 6-1.
