December 1, 2025: Minong, WI 54859 In Monday's non-league contest, the host Northwood Evergreens basketball team scored a big 65-21 triumph over the Mellen Granite Diggers.
The Evergreens now have a 1-0 record. They play next when they travel to Cornell for a non-league game on Friday, December 5. Northwood will confront a Chiefs team coming off a 72-38 non-league loss to Thorp (Thorp, WI). The Chiefs record now stands at 0-1.
With the loss, Mellen falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Granite diggers travel to Butternut (Butternut, WI) to clash with the Midgets in a Northern Lights outing on Tuesday, December 9. The Midgets enter the outing with a record of 0-0.
