Tennessee High School Basketball - Powell defeats Austin-East
December 1, 2025: Powell, TN 37849 The Powell Panthers (Powell, TN) basketball were winner over the visiting Austin-East Roadrunners (Knoxville, TN), 47-38 in Monday's non-league bout.
The Panthers now possess a 2-3 record. They play next when they host Anderson County for a non-league bout on Friday, December 5. Powell will play a Mavericks team coming off a 59-45 non-league win over Oneida (Oneida, TN). The Mavericks record now stands at 2-1.
The Roadrunners (4-5) will now prepare for their test against Cocke County (Newport, TN). The Fighting Cocks come into the 3A District 3 test with a 5-1 record. In their last test, Cocke County beat David Crockett (Jonesborough, TN), 66-31, in a non-league test.
