The Christopher Bearcats basketball team scored 55 points and restricted the visiting Sparta Bulldogs to 48 in the Bearcats non-league victory on Tuesday.

The Bearcats now sport a 6-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Woodlawn for a non-league contest on Friday, December 13. Christopher will battle a Cardinals team coming off a 67-41 league win over Odin (Odin, IL). The Cardinals record now stands at 5-0.

The Bulldogs (1-2) will now prepare for their contest against Pinckneyville (Pinckneyville, IL). The Panthers come into the Southern Illinois River-to-River - Mississippi contest with a 4-0 record. In their last contest, Pinckneyville edged Freeburg (Freeburg, IL), 62-45, in a non-league contest.
