West Virginia High School Basketball - University holds off East Fairmont
December 10, 2021: Morgantown, WV 26508 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the University Hawks (Morgantown, WV) and the visiting East Fairmont Bees (Fairmont, WV), saw University's basketball squad hold off East Fairmont by a tally of 60-54.
With the victory, University improves its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Hawks host Bridgeport (Bridgeport, WV) to confront the Indians in a Big Ten challenge on Tuesday, December 14. The Indians come into the challenge with a record of 1-0. Bridgeport won 56-53 in their recent non-league challenge against Wheeling Park (Wheeling, WV)
Next up, the Bees confront the Grafton Bearcats (Grafton, WV) in a Big Ten challenge, on Wednesday, December 15. East Fairmont will attempt to improve on its 1-1 season record. The Bearcats come into the challenge with a 2-0 record after their 73-45 non-league win over Trinity Christian (Morgantown, WV).
