Northwest Jaguars (Germantown, MD) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Kennedy Cavaliers (Silver Spring, MD), 69-68 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Northwest upgrades its record to 2-0 on the campaign. The Jaguars travel to Whitman (Bethesda, MD) to play the Vikings in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 15. The Vikings come into the bout with a record of 1-1.

Next up, the Cavaliers play the Paint Branch Panthers (Burtonsville, MD) in a Montgomery 4A East bout, on Friday, December 17. Kennedy will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record.
