California High School Basketball - Evergreen Valley nips Anzar
December 10, 2022: San Juan Bautista, CA 95045 Evergreen Valley Cougars (San Jose, CA) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Anzar Hawks (San Juan Bautista, CA), 57-53 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Evergreen Valley upgrades its record to 5-2 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to James Lick (San Jose, CA) to play the Comets in a non-league bout on Monday, December 12. The Comets come into the bout with a record of 0-6. James Lick lost 67-33 in their recent non-league bout against Harbor (Santa Cruz, CA)
Next up, the Hawks play the Rancho San Juan Trailblazers (Salinas, CA) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, December 14. Anzar will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record. The Trailblazers come into the bout with a 4-1 record after their 81-31 non-league win over Pajaro Valley (Watsonville, CA).
