Virginia High School Basketball - J.I. Burton fells Cumberland Gap
December 10, 2022: Norton, VA 24273 J.I. Burton Black Raiders (Norton, VA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Cumberland Gap Panthers (Cumberland Gap, TN), 49-40 in a non-league bout.
With the win, J.I. Burton upgrades its record to 2-1 on the season. The Black Raiders travel to Cumberland Gap (Cumberland Gap, TN) to clash with the Panthers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 20. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 0-7.
Next up, the Panthers clash with the Washburn Pirates (Washburn, TN) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 13. Cumberland Gap will attempt to upgrade on its 0-6 season record. The Pirates go into the bout with a 3-3 record after their 58-57 non-league win over Thomas Walker (Ewing, VA).
