Fans at Saturday's league challenge between the Fairmont Heights Hornets (Capitol Heights, MD) and the host Flowers Jaguars (Springdale, MD), saw Fairmont Heights's basketball squad hold off Flowers by a tally of 80-73.

With the victory, Fairmont Heights improves its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Hornets host Largo (Upper Marlboro, MD) to confront the Lions in a Prince George's County 3A/2A/1A challenge on Tuesday, December 13. The Lions come into the challenge with a record of 0-1. Largo lost 75-68 in their recent non-league challenge against Riverdale Baptist (Upper Marlboro, MD)
