December 10, 2022: Mt. Vernon, IA 52314 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Mt. Vernon Mustangs (Mt. Vernon, IA) and the visiting Fort Madison Bloodhounds (Fort Madison, IA), saw Mt. Vernon's basketball squad hold off Fort Madison by a tally of 52-45.
With the victory, Mt. Vernon improves its record to 4-1 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to South Tama County (Tama, IA) to confront the Trojans in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, December 13. The Trojans come into the challenge with a record of 1-3. South Tama County lost 64-49 in their recent league challenge against Marion (Marion, IA)
Next up, the Bloodhounds confront the Williamsburg Raiders (Williamsburg, IA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, December 13. Fort Madison will attempt to improve on its 2-3 season record.
