Wesclin Warriors (Trenton, IL) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Greenville Comets (Greenville, IL), 65-56 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Wesclin upgrades its record to 6-2 on the season. The Warriors host Sparta (Sparta, IL) to clash with the Bulldogs in a Cahokia - Illinois bout on Tuesday, December 13. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 6-0. Sparta won 52-51 in their recent league bout against Carlyle (Carlyle, IL)

Next up, the Comets clash with the Okawville Rockets (Okawville, IL) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 13. Greenville will attempt to upgrade on its 2-5 season record. The Rockets go into the bout with a 2-2 record after their 66-44 non-league win over Steeleville (Steeleville, IL).
