Hedgesville Eagles (Hedgesville, WV) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Parkersburg Big Reds (Parkersburg, WV), 54-52 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Hedgesville upgrades its record to 2-0 on the season. The Eagles host Idea (Washington, DC) to play the Timberwolves in a non-league bout on Friday, December 16. The Timberwolves go into the bout with a record of 3-2.

Next up, the Big Reds play the Huntington Highlanders (Huntington, WV) in a Mountain State bout, on Tuesday, December 13. Parkersburg will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record.
