In Saturday's non-league match, the visiting Progreso Red Ants basketball team scored a good 51-34 triumph over the Juarez-Lincoln Huskies.

In their next game, the Red Ants meet the IDEA Riverview Rockets (Brownsville, TX) in a 3A Region IV District 32 match, on Tuesday, December 13. Progreso will attempt to move on its 10-6 season record. The Rockets enter the match with a 0-2 record after their 71-11 non-league loss to Pace (Brownsville, TX).
