In Saturday's non-league outing, the Spring Woods Tigers (Houston, TX) basketball squad nipped the host Lamar Consolidated Mustangs (Rosenberg, TX), by a margin of 43-38.

The Tigers (10-4) will now prepare for their outing against Iowa Colony (Arcola, TX). The Pioneers go into the non-league outing with a 9-1 record. In their last outing, Iowa Colony got by Lamar Consolidated (Rosenberg, TX), 49-35, in a non-league outing.
