West Virginia High School Basketball - Nitro tops Lincoln

Nitro Wildcats (Nitro, WV) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Lincoln Cougars (Shinnston, WV), 44-32 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Nitro upgrades its record to 1-1 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Point Pleasant (Point Pleasant, WV) to play the Big Blacks in a Freelance bout on Tuesday, December 13. The Big Blacks come into the bout with a record of 1-1. Point Pleasant lost 57-55 in their recent league bout against Buffalo (Buffalo, WV)

Next up, the Cougars play the Ripley Vikings (Ripley, WV) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 13. Lincoln will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Vikings come into the bout with a 1-0 record after their 74-48 non-league win over Robert C. Byrd (Clarksburg, WV).
