Illinois High School Basketball - ROWVA/Williamsfield knocked off by Midland
December 10, 2022: Varna, IL 61375 The Midland Timberwolves basketball team scored 70 points and held the visiting ROWVA/Williamsfield Cougars to 51 in the Timberwolves non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Timberwolves now sport a 5-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Princeville for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 13. Midland will battle a Princes team coming off a 48-40 non-league loss to Elmwood (Elmwood, IL). The Princes record now stands at 4-2.
The Cougars (6-4) will now prepare for their contest against Peoria Heights (Peoria Heights, IL). The Patriots enter the Prairieland contest with a 2-6 record. In their last contest, Peoria Heights ran past Roanoke-Benson (Roanoke, IL), 46-41, in a non-league contest.
